My self reflection

I volunteering at Zayed Higher Organization for one month and our volunteering scheduled was we have come to the center every Sunday and Monday . First week was very important week because we have looking to center activities , get a general idea about the center and we have known the us shes name Fatima Alhamly and she let us to talk with some of creative student and that's was surprising from beginning and i cant describe it by few words because that affect deeply in my heart .

Moreover i have start with printing work shop and i have met some one his name Ahmed Naseeb , this students was the first student i have known in the center and i make a strong friendship that when i work with him in two classes and i give him a paper and write his name and my name as evidence of our friendship and he was very happy with this paper . However . In this experiment of volunteering i have learn many things that affect deeply in my personal life . First thing i have learn and that's was important its to being positively in your life and didn't give up because if you give up this the end of your life . Second things was i feel i must have be more attention of this category of people and take care of them  because they must being more helpful and i want to change their realistic by giving the people a positive idea about them .

Fourth week

In the fourth week we moved to another work shop which was the electric work shop . Firstly when we entered the class on of the students introduce his self and he start explain to us the work in the work shop and some of creative things the made it and his name was Hamad Al hai . After that we clothing the special clothes for the work shop and we start working with students in their work . However . I have been choked because of the accurate and the skillful in their work because they welding small pieces in with electric board .

Third week

Third week was very fantastic week because many things happened to us . Firstly . After we finished from tailor class we moved to printing work shop and start with students in their program and we faced off some troubles because of some reasons . The biggest one was the student in this have a problem in the communication so that's make the connected between us and students hardly. Also, the teacher gave us a mission we must completed in the end of the class such us try to controlling the students without him and that's was difficult but we success by 70 % .

Second Week

Second week was an important week that we have learnt many things about the student . In this week we start with tailor work shop and dealing with student directly . After we inter the class and the teacher tell us about the program today i set with one of the student whose name Ahmed Naseeb and i work with him . However his education program was in the made clothes and he has a problem in the pronunciation and he has a low level in understanding . So i work with him in the tailing and give him some help to in his work . On the other hand i try to make a friendship with him and i successes in this point at least 90 % . In the end of the class i have write my name in paper and give it to Ahmed Naseeb then i ask him to keep it until next class because that's paper its evidence of our friendship and he was very happy .

First week

first week was very interesting week because of many things . firstly , when we reached to the Disabled Center we have meet with reception women and she transfer us to her director who is name Fatima Al Hamly . Fatima Al hamly start with us by giving general idea about the center and show us different of work shops and talk with teachers about our volunteering program . Also she let us talked with some of creative students and they talk with us about their impressive achievements . Finally . After we have look at all the work shops we choose the printing work shop and start with the student in their education program .

Human Rights Activity/ Exercise #4

1.     Present the map to the whole class.
·         Did any parts of your map have a high concentration of rights? How do you explain this?
well of course, since this is a muslim country it is natural that there are many mosques in every area while churches are less. but this also can be explained by the fact the muslim pray 5 times a day while Christians pray one per week.
·         Did any parts have few or no rights associations? How do you explain this?
well yes there were, this is due to the fact that they are very distant from he center and only little people live there. if we go to another place with higher density of people this would change as we've seen in the map
·         Are there any articles of the UDHR that seem to be especially exercised in this community? How can this be explained?
I would say the the right of education is strongly exercised in this community, we can see this in the number of public schools and university per city and the fact the public schools are on a higher level than private schools. I believe this is due to the fact that we are in a developing country so education is essential.
·        Are there any articles of the UDHR that no group included on their map? How can this be explained?
yes there are, some right association can't be shown in these maps wether it is because it doesn't necessarily have a building, or that it isn't practiced in this country.
I would rather no to go in more details :)

How could town/city planners might use information like this when they develop areas for their citizens?
they would take these information into consideration when trying to fix or develop an old place to make more habitant for people who has the need to practice these rights.

Maslow’s Human Needs - Exercise #2

Human Needs Activity 2: Exercise #2

Working in groups, discuss and answer the following questions:

1. Does every human being have the right to reach the top of the Maslow pyramid?

Yes, because all of human must be have the some right because all of them are equal. Also, in this point our prophet Mohammed said before more than 1400 years all people must be equal .
2. Does every human being have the capability of reaching that level?
J    No ,   because I think in many places in the world it hard to find the basic things so if they don’t have the basics like food , water and health the cant reach to the top level because it depends on the basics .

3. What are the opportunities are needed to get to the higher level?

TThe first things I think the family supporting it give the best push to get the higher level  and the society environment  can help more .

. What are the obstacles could stand in the way of reaching these levels?
Being scared of taking any step or unsure of it, not having the confidence in his self and abilities, not feeling safe or not having enough security and safety that would allow him to step forward and not being motivated or supported by others.

5. What could you do to help others to reach the higher levels?
By setting your own goals, putting a plan to follow to develop so people that consider you as a role model would do the same. Also, working on creative ideas that would benefit you and others and would help them to develop and supporting and motivating others to acheive more in their lives.
